Now this one I like!
Just messing about with high viscosity fluids... I've discovered that ramping up the surface tension really helps with that stringy look that's so hard to get. I'm also quite proud of the lack of rendering errors... no weird speckling on the edges of the DOF and such... plus I just discovered the dim distance checkbox in Vray... so now I can have pretty reflections without all those ugly shapes.
Waddaya think... is the vignette too strong? Looking at the thumbnail, it does seem awfully powerful, but in full size, it seems to fit better.
The particles were meshed with Frost, which I highly recommend. It's so much faster and more accurate than the Realflow internal meshing, plus it's highly customizable on the fly, which I've been yearning for.
If you want to use this for a personal wallpaper, just note me, and I'll send it to ya. Rez is 1080p.
Fluid Sim time: 15 minutes
Render time: 10 minutes (dang I love my new pc...)
OH CRAP! I was going to record a tutorial... but I forgot. Sorry, guys. Maybe next time...
Heh... kinda looks like Flubber.
